Ik ben bij Behind Closed Doors gestart bij Dylan toen ik net in mijn tweede trimester van mijn eerste zwangerschap zat. Ik wilde graag blijven sporten, maar vond groepslessen/andere vormen van sporten in Amsterdam niet echt passend tijdens de zwangerschap. Daarom zocht ik meer persoonlijke begeleiding, met focus op kracht en het voorkomen van bekken- of rugklachten. Dankzij Dylan voel ik me fit en sterk, en kijk ik zelfs uit om straks na de bevalling weer terug te komen. This Not a HIIT fitness class.
You signed up for that hype fitness class. You went a few times. The class was too crowded to get real feedback on your form. In the begininning had felt the benefits but after a while you stopped going because you did not have anyone to hold you accountable… Sound familiar?
Small group training changes the dynamic. You show up because the group and coaches are expecting you. You push harder because someone’s next to you doing the same thing. And you actually progress because a BCD coach is there, not supervising from a distance, but coaching you every session.

GROUP ACCOUNTABILITY
Skipping is easy when no one notices. In a small group, they notice. When your training partners are showing up, cancelling is a NO-GO That’s the mechanism. And it’s the reason people who train with others stay consistent longer than those who don’t.
COACHED, NOT JUST SUPERVISED.
Max 4 people per session. One BCD coach. Every session is programmed,compound movements, progressive overload, structure. This isn’t a fitness class with a headset mic. It’s a coached strength programme you happen to share with three other people.

This is because you push harder when someone next to you is working hard just like you, This is how we as humans work. Training next to people with the same goal creates accountability you can’t fake. And your results will reflect it.
HABITS & CONSISTENCY.
Most people don’t struggle with training. They struggle with showing up. After a few weeks in a group, the question shifts from “do I feel like going?” to “it’s Thursday, that’s my session.” That’s the key. Consistency. The group makes it happen faster than going alone ever would.

You don’t have much experience lifting weights OR haven’t consistently trained before, and that’s fine, most of our members haven’t. You will leave every session stronger and knowing exactly what you did and why.

GLP-1 / MEDICAL WEIGHT LOSS GUIDANCE.
Using weight loss medication – like Ozempic, Wegovy, or Semaglutide – and not training? Without resistance training, up to 40% of what you lose is muscle, not fat. Stop the medication and the weight comes back. Every time. Medication buys you time. Two 30-minute sessions a week make the result permanent.
Questions we get a lot.
Maximum 4 people. That's not a guideline — it's a hard limit. This keeps the coaching quality high and ensures your trainer can see every rep, correct technique, and adjust your load in real time. It's nothing like a fitness class.
A regular group class has 15 to 20 people following the same routine at the same pace. At BCD, your group session is coached — your coach knows your name, your goal, your injury history, and your previous session. The programme is progressive. You are tracked. That's a fundamentally different experience.
No. All new members start with an intake session and InBody scan regardless of experience level. We assess your movement quality, strength baseline, and goals before placing you in a group. This way every session is appropriate for where you are — not the average of the room.
Yes. All our coaches speak Dutch, English and Italian. BCD is one of the few studios in Amsterdam genuinely set up for internationals and expats. You'll never feel lost in translation.
Every new member starts with a free intake — a conversation about your goals, schedule, and situation. After that we do an InBody body composition scan and create your Personal Blueprint. Then you start the 3-week trial (6 sessions, €207). After the trial you move into your small group membership.
Start with the 3-week trial — 6 sessions for €207. After that, Group Gold (2x per week, 8 sessions/month) starts from €344/month on a 12-month plan. Group Platinum (3x per week, 12 sessions/month) from €504/month. Shorter commitments are available at higher monthly rates.
In most cases yes — your schedule is fixed so your group stays consistent. This builds real accountability. When you know the same 3 people are expecting you on Tuesday and Thursday, cancelling becomes a lot harder. That's exactly the point.
No. Start with the 3-week trial — no commitment. After that you choose a package. Longer plans unlock lower monthly rates, but nothing is forced. Month-to-month options are available.
